Neil Dymott Hudson Attorneys successfully represented the Director of Nursing at one of San Diego County’s health care facilities in front of the San Diego County Civil Service Commission. The Appeal was to request the Commission reverse a decision by San Diego County’s Behavioral Health Services which removed the Director of Nursing from her job based upon allegations she breached confidentiality via an email exchange, violated code of ethics and was negligent in performing her job duties. She appealed the County’s removal and was given the right to a hearing in front of the Civil Service Commission.

The Appeal Hearing was held on June 14, 2013 where both counsel for San Diego County and Neil Dymott Hudson attorneys put forth evidence and presented witnesses to testify in front of the Commission. On July 10, 2013, the Civil Service Commission issued its ruling of the Appeal, finding the Director of Nursing did nothing wrong, no discipline was warranted, and that she be fully reinstated as Director of Nursing immediately, which included back pay, benefits and interest from the date of removal.
