Litigation Paralegal

We are looking for a full-time litigation paralegal with 0-5 years experience to join our downtown San Diego office. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Candidates should be organized and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Candidates should have the ability to work independently and cooperatively and have knowledge of California codes, court rules, discovery rules, court research, subpoena preparation and trial preparation.
  • Prepare subpoenas for records
  • Maintain records logs, including monitoring discovery, subpoenas, document productions and requests
  • Organize and prepare exhibits for motions and discovery responses
  • Conduct legal research
  • Trial preparation including drafting pre-trial documents, motions in limine, jury instructions, trial readiness reports, trial exhibits and witness coordination
  • Prepare attorneys for conferences, depositions, hearings, and mediation

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent grammatical and spelling skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), Adobe Acrobat Pro, Drop Box, and Westlaw, Trial Director experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of California codes, court deadlines (motions, subpoenas, discovery rules, trial deadlines, etc.)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Attention to detail


Candidates should have a four-year degree and be a graduate of an ABA-accredited paralegal course. Minimum 2 years of litigation experience required.
