Background

Matthew Souther grew up in York, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Nevada, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

Mr. Souther earned his law degree at California Western School of Law. Before joining Neil Dymott, Mr. Souther volunteered at the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program, where he received the “Distinguished Service Award” for Pro Bono legal service in 2003. He also was the recipient of the “Wiley W. Manuel Award” for Pro Bono service in 2004.

Mr. Souther joined Neil Dymott as an associate in 2004. He is admitted to practice in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California. The emphasis of his practice is on the defense of medical practice claims, professional liability, personal injury and healthcare claims.  Aside from practicing law, he is an avid cyclist and skier.  He also enjoys golfing and surfing.
